5. Is there an application fee? If so, How much?
There is a fee of $40 to process the application. This amount is included in the membership fee.

6. Is the application fee refundable if I don’t get accepted?
Yes, you will refunded your membership fee minus the $40 processing fee.
7. When do you need the application fee?
At the time of submitting your membership application.
8. What makes Structured Exchange Express so secure from fraud?
We are secure because all of our members have completed consumer report background checks. Our members also have a face-to-face meeting/transaction to include a legally binding contract.
9. What company does the background checks?
IntelliCorp which is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA)
10. How much do background checks cost?
Your background check will cost $30.95. A court fee may apply in some cases. You will be made aware of any costs pertaining to your search prior to processing your report.
11. Can I contact the background check company myself or do I have to go through Structured Exchange Express?
Yes you may contact Intellicorp if you have questions about reports or would like to dispute information included in your report, however for security Structured Exchange Express will only except screening reports run through the structured Exchange Express website.
12. Is the background check company accredited and who monitors their activities?
IntelliCorp is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) and the information we provide is governed by laws pertaining to our industry. We comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and with all federal and state requirements. You can feel comfortable knowing that we operate our business in full compliance with these laws.
13. How many different levels of trade are there?
We have 4 different levels of trade: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
14. How much does each level cost and what is the difference?

15. What happens if you can’t find a compatible trade match for me?
If within the year we cannot find you one match, then your membership will roll over to the next year.
16. What constitutes a refund of my annual fee?
We do not offer refunds.
17. Can I get list of other accredited members and work my own deals?
We act as your outside sales force and to keep our members from getting unwanted solicitation we cannot give you members information without them wanting your services.
18. What happens if the person I am trading with defaults on our agreement?
Members involved in a trade are strongly encouraged to complete a trader feedback transaction form.
Moderators of bartering board must be notified of any trades gone badly. We will act as mediators and if the member with the negative feedback does not make the trade right and/or is found guilty they will be removed from our approved traders list and will NO longer be allowed to trade within our company.
19. If the person that I agree to trade with defaults on our agreement does that count as one of my monthly barters?
If they are found guilty of default it will not count as one of your monthly barters.
20. Are there any hidden fees?
Depending on the level of membership, you can have either one contract transaction meeting free a month and pay $15 for the next or its Completely free.
21. What makes Structured Exchange Express different form the barter section of Craigslist?
We prescreen our clients ensuring ethical business connections.
We secure all agreements with a contract to ensure both parites are in agreement and follow through.
22. Can I combine two barters to make one of double value?
Each transaction will have its own contract, however you can barter with the same person if you would like.
23. Do I have to pay taxes on my barter?
The IRS treats barter like regular income. Members engaging in bartering are expected to pay both sales tax and income tax on the goods or services they buy and sell in the year that they are credited. Of course, this statute also means that bartering activity is deductible for business expenses.
